The shores of Io Dagda had grown far more communal, having pulled further from the chaotic waters the rest of the sea had. They had been able to build homes in the rare spots, close to the shallows where the waters did not shift. Thus the community of the more social with the land walkers, merfolk had started to grow and normalize again.
The lower shelf, with tridents no longer around to cause constant upheavals in control the cecaelia and their magics had been able to be in spaces far below to start calling home. Hidden in the depths, expanding their homes and other deep dwellers to be loyal to them for a chance at stability. Able to read the tides outside their area of control, from their unseen depths, they would start to protect each other and those in the shallows from the randomly accruing disasters. However, there has been whispers among the land walkers that those of the deep are controlling or allowing such destruction to lay waste to the land walkers.
