Guilds

Approval is needed for any Guilds to become official to the RiP website and Landing Zone.

⚰︎ Processes

Guilds are groups large enough to claim a stronghold on sim, offering stories for their players and outsiders, events, and everyday interactions. Typically those with similar interests join together under a Guild and offer assistance to one another from within. Guilds can be with or without a Faction.

With a Faction:

  • Knights dedicated to a kingdom.

  • Hackers working under the table for a corporation.

 

Without a Faction:

  • Thievesguild who target any and everyone.

  • Blackmarket in the undercity where there are no laws.

All Guilds are able to grow and become Factions, if there is availability for this growth. It will not be instant and will only happen with story, providing RP, events, etc. These stories of progressing to a Faction can be as neutral, good, hostile, or anything else that is more fitting to your current Guild. If a Guild meets the requirements to becoming a Faction, please refer to the Faction Process as outlined [here].

Before applying, we encourage:

  • Any and all to become a Freeborn Group (FBG).

  • Becoming a FBG covers advertisement, number gain, and activity before applying.

  • Doing small events and advertising via Discord #adverts-biz-events to encourage players.

⚰︎ Applying

  • You have shown that you have activity and numbers, either through RP or events.

  • You have a Second in Command already at the ready.

  • You have a stronghold already in mind and have been actively making it your own on sim.

  • You are a new style of Guild, and not a copy of one currently active. 

  • You are aware of the differences of With a Faction and Without a Faction, and you are aware of which fits best for your Guild.

  • You feel you are ready to apply for the current open position of the Guild within your region and are able to work together with everyone OOCly without conflict. 

⚰︎ Acceptance

  • Stronghold is approved and will be decorated with approved Guild icons/banners. 

  • A minimum of two NPCs will be provided. 

  • NoteCard givers will be able to be set up with the Guild Lead.

⚰︎ Disclaimers

  • You must be in the Discord due to roles being made for your Guild, answering questions about your Guild, and responding to any messages within your given Guild channels.

  • You acknowledge that if your Guild is to become inactive or you are to step down, that you would lose your current Guild slot and it would become open for anyone else to apply to claim. 

  • If you come back from inactivity, you would need to reapply for your Guild slot.
