Our sim presents itself as fantasy with relics of other time eras scattered about and harder to find.

The way our lore works is by understanding that, off-screen, there are Multiple-Universes that can interact with the sim you see on your screen.

You may be playing a fantasy character that could, potentially, run into another character who is from 'out of this world'; An example of this would be someone walking up to your fantasy appearing avatar as someone dressed from the modern world with a non-working cellphone.
